CCJ’s new look mirrors trucking industry’s changes
In March, Commercial Carrier Journal celebrated its centennial anniversary by highlighting milestones and the growth of the trucking industry. The retrospective also offered our editors a closer look at CCJ’s own evolution as the magazine adapted to better meet readers’ needs.
What better time, we asked ourselves, than during a flurry of regulatory activity and shifting fleet concerns to continue that process than our 100th birthday? After several months of research and careful consideration, we’re excited to unveil CCJ’s new look, our first substantial redesign in almost 10 years.
We kick things off this month with a three-part special report, “The future of freight,” examining forces shaping business, equipment and technology trends.
As you flip through the pages, you’ll notice a clean, bold new look and significant changes in presentation. All of your favorite information is still here – you’ll just find it in a different place.
To improve flow and pacing, we combined several old departments – including our former Law, Finances and Safety departments – into a single comprehensive Journal section. And Jack Roberts’ and Aaron Huff’s opinion columns find new homes within the expanded Equipment and Technology departments.
