A fleet management telematics provider and a software company have partnered to provide fleet managers more visibility into tractor and trailer operations.
ISAAC Instruments has integrated BlackBerry Limited’s multi-sensor trailer monitoring and reporting technology BlackBerry Radar into the ISAAC Open Platform, aiming to help commercial fleets boost productivity, improve asset utilization, reduce costs and improve services to customers by optimizing driver hours and improving trailer utilization.

The addition provides fleet managers an aggregate view of current tractor and trailer operations in a single console to help them better manage and automate dispatch operations, driver messaging and hours of service compliance.
It gives fleets the added capability of accessing near real-time data on the status of their trailers, chassis or containers and provides a range of sensor data such as route and mileage, temperature, humidity, door open/close and cargo load state all within a single user-interface on the ISAAC Open Platform.
