Fleet managers in various roles – whether in safety, operations or another part of the business – face numerous challenges to make sure their drivers and the company are operating in the safest and most efficient manner possible.
For the second year in a row, trucking management consulting firm J.J. Keller conducted a "State of Fleet Management" survey to better understand the challenges fleet managers are facing and where improvements can be made across the industry. Among the biggest hurdles survey respondents identified were leadership buy-in on safety, gaps in driver knowledge and skill, and compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
This week, Jason and Matt are joined on CCJ's 10-44 by J.J. Keller's Wendy Blezek Fleming and Rick Malchow to talk about what the study found and how the responses changed from the previous year.
