Abex’s commercial-vehicle drum brake block, manufactured by Federal-Mogul, is designed to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 121 reduced stopping distance requirements.
The drum brake block line includes three application-specific formulations engineered to enhance overall performance: RN, a premium organic 20,000-pound axle rating with a copper-free formulation; RSM, a premium semi-metallic 29,000-pound axle rating for RSD and severe-service applications; and RSC, a premium semi-metallic combo formulation with a 23,000-pound axle rating.
